The following is a list of extension activities that students can choose from to expand upon their school work and increase their academic time outside of the school. Students are not required to complete the following activities, but they are available and will be recognized in our classroom, should they choose to take them on. If a student completes an assignment, please have them bring it into our classroom so that they can share and so that I can give them credit for their extra work. If you or your student have questions about the extension activities, please let me know!

- Conduct an experiment and write a brief report about the results. Are there any additional explanations for your results?
- Write a story
- Write a persuasive paper
- Write an argumentative paper
- Write a choose-your-own-adventure story
- Create a fantasy world/city/town - Write a narrative that describes the world, draw a map that depicts what it looks like
- Write a movie review
- Write a restaurant critique
- Build a model of something we are learning about in class
- Make a map of your neighborhood, bedroom, city, state, a fantasy world, a place in a special book, etc.
- Visit a museum, garden, community center, etc. and write a travel brochure encouraging your fellow classmates to attend
